ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
This role reports to the Divisional Business Manager, Faculty of Arts.
SUMMARY
The Entertainment Arts Program Ambassador will be a key point of contact for prospective students interested in the Entertainment Arts (ENTA) programs for the purposes of recruitment, application support, and fostering early engagement in the KPU community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with planning, setup, coordination and operational logistics of ENTA recruitment focused events and attending such events to engage with prospective students and community members
- Contacting prospective students via phone and/or email about their applications for Entertainment Arts programs and providing guidance on program suitability as well as the necessary steps for completing their applications
- Assisting students with understanding and completing the portfolio requirements of their application through phone and/or email conversations and via Portfolio Information Sessions
- Attending Information Sessions conducted by Future Student Offices in order to represent the Entertainment Arts programs
- Preparing materials and content for recruitment activities
- Monitoring the efficacy of recruitment and application processes and adjusting approach as required to meet the needs of individual students
- Coordinating and conducting promotional high school visits in collaboration with Entertainment Arts faculty and/or Lab Instructors
- Tracking the status of applicants and liaising with other units such as Future Students Office, Admissions, and International (with support from the Divisional Business Manager), to ensure that students are moving through the application process in a timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active (currently enrolled) student or alumni of Entertainment Arts
- Creative, energetic and outgoing
- Enthusiastic about student wellness and student life at KPU
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with others
- Reliable, organized and detail oriented
- Problem solver, works independently and manages time effectively to meet deadlines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud Software
- Available for shifts at any campus or community event, as needed
- Available to work evenings and weekends as needed

Anticipated hourly pay rate: $30.81
