What you’ll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Talent Acquisition team, you will deliver the best-in-class experiences to enable CIBC to become the destination of choice for top talent. As a Candidate Care Specialist, you will be instrumental in supporting candidates, Talent Acquisition Partners, Hiring Managers, and internal stakeholders. Your focus will be to ensure the candidate’s experience is exceptional during the application and interview process at CIBC. You will support Talent Acquisition Partners by assigning job requisitions, creating offer letters, ordering background screening packages and preparing candidates for interviews. You will work closely with Talent Acquisition Partners, and other internal and external partners to help create an exceptional hiring experience.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Attention to detail – Ensure offer letters are accurate and generated within 24hrs or one business day time frame. Diligently support candidates by providing an exceptional concierge experience (providing a preview of the experience, timelines, tips and advice to be successful). Work with Talent Acquisition partners and governance to identify appropriate employment letter clauses to meet unique business requirements.
  • Confidentiality – Demonstrate professionalism, discretion and sound judgment in sensitive situations involving confidential information.
  • Organization – Demonstrate ability to prioritize tasks, calendar, emails and phone calls in an efficient and effective manner. Time management is critical to role.
  • Customer Service – Demonstrate ability to communicate with candidates / stakeholders, solve problems, demonstrate patience and understanding, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Continuous improvement – Provide your input to help enhance existing processes and share your ideas on new ways of doing things
