About the role
Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direct supervision of the the Assistant Manager, Gordon Ramsay Burger, this position is responsible for serving the guests beverages with the strictest regard to rules, regulations and outlet operational guidelines while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Greets guests by name wherever possible
- Informs guests of any daily specials
- Explains how various beverages are prepared
- Takes guest orders and makes recommendations
- Prepares beverages
- Serves guests and checks to ensure satisfaction
- Resolves guests issues or asks management for assistance
- Presents bill upon request and takes payment in the absence of a cashier
- Cleans tables or counters, removes glasses and re-stocks when applicable
- Delivers beverages to hotel rooms as directed when applicable and obtains signature and removes used trays
- Performs opening or closing duties as required
- Counts cash float at end of shift (if applicable)
- Covers other bartender sections when required
- Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages according to Serving it Right
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education And Qualifications
- High School Diploma; Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset; Bartending certificate an asset
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Minimum 1 year bartending experience
- POS experience
- Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Work Environment Considerations
- Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours
