Position Summary...
This role executes the sourcing process for various indirect spend categories, leveraging the scale of spend. It supports all team members including Associate Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and Senior Directors.
What you'll do...
This role demonstrates persuasive leadership skills to influence stakeholders and business units to follow strategic sourcing policies, ensuring competitive market tenders and cost containment for timely executed initiatives. Collaboration with cross-functional management teams is essential to identify and develop key strategic initiatives over the next 2-3 years, including comprehensive category strategies, category/sub-category analysis, and engagement with international markets for alignment.
Monitoring the marketplace to provide insights on category spend and savings opportunities is a critical responsibility. This role works with other strategic sourcing teams and business unit leads to deliver committed capital and expense savings. Implementing corporate strategic sourcing and category management processes using sourcing tools involves project identification, financial targets, sourcing strategy, RFx processes, e-auctions, analysis, negotiation, and contract support. Evaluating and selecting vendors in accordance with guidelines and best practices, and managing the sourcing gating process for alignment with key stakeholders, are also key tasks.
Conducting complex analyses in support of external supplier negotiations and creating supporting materials for negotiation preparation are important aspects of this role. Researching industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for improvement in pricing, quality, product changes, service levels, and trends is necessary. Supporting contract negotiations, facilitating the creation of business terms, and participating in strategic business reviews as part of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process are also required. Identifying new savings and sourcing pipeline opportunities through the SRM process is vital.
Completing ongoing performance tracking methods of strategic initiatives, measuring effectiveness against KPIs and compliance, and providing regular reporting to team leads and stakeholders are essential duties for this role.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional strategic sourcing experience leading multi-category sourcing teams for direct and/or indirect spend.
- Track record of leading the continuous improvement of sourcing and category management programs
- Expertise in negotiations and contracting including e-sourcing, should-cost models, leveraged agreements, multi-year contracts, complex terms and conditions, performance incentives, and management of corporate risk
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional project teams; ability to influence others through both direct and indirect networks; a consensus builder and a change agent.
- Strong orientation to team leadership, coaching, collaboration, and positive communication
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
