About the role
Job Summary:
The Driver Supervisor acts as the key link between company leadership and the driver team, ensuring alignment of expectations, performance, and communication. This role focuses on managing relationships, fostering a positive work environment, and addressing issues proactively to achieve operational and driver satisfaction.
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact between drivers and company management.
- Clearly communicate company goals, policies, and performance expectations to drivers.
- Advocate for drivers’ needs, feedback, and concerns to ensure fair treatment and mutual understanding.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with drivers through regular communication and coaching.
- Address performance or behavioral issues with professionalism, empathy, and accountability.
- Promote a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for drivers.
- Monitor driver performance metrics and work collaboratively to achieve operational targets.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proven ability to manage people with empathy and professionalism.
- Skilled at handling difficult conversations while achieving positive outcomes.
- Understanding of human behavior, motivation, and conflict resolution.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet operations is an asset.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
