Compiler Engineer (Code Generation) / Greenfield Opportunity / Equity
Join a well-funded, Series A start-up tackling one of the most complex challenges in AI infrastructure. You'll become a key member of a growing compiler team, working alongside experienced engineers from some of the world's leading semiconductor and AI companies.
This is a rare greenfield opportunity for someone excited by building next-generation compiler technology from the ground up.
The Role
Build Compiler Backends: Design and develop core code generation capabilities that translate high-level workloads into highly optimised machine code. Drive Performance: Apply advanced optimisation, parallelisation and kernel generation techniques to maximise hardware efficiency. Shape Compiler Architecture: Contribute to the evolution of the compiler architecture as AI models and hardware continue to advance. Analyse & Optimise: Use profiling and performance analysis to identify bottlenecks and deliver measurable improvements across the compilation pipeline.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering 3+ years working on compiler technologies 4+ years commercial C/C++ experience Strong understanding of compiler algorithms and low-level code generation Experience optimising software for modern CPU, GPU or AI accelerator architectures Familiarity with LLVM or similar compiler frameworks
