About:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support to local and remote users, including complex troubleshooting, system administration, and infrastructure support. Lead initiatives related to endpoint management, software deployment, and system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise systems and contribute to IT projects and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2 support for escalated technical issues across hardware, software, and network systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring problems.
- Administer and maintain user accounts, group policies, and permissions in Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Manage endpoint patching and software deployment using tools such as Intune or KACE.
- Lead deployment and configuration of enterprise applications and updates.
- Support virtualization environments (e.g., VMware) and assist with server maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams on system upgrades and migrations.
- Maintain documentation for technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
- Mentor Level 1 technicians and provide guidance on technical issues.
- Assist in VOIP and mobile device management, including MDM platforms.
- Contribute to IT projects, including planning, testing, and implementation phases.
- Any other project or task related to the position
The profile we are looking for:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and endpoint management tools.
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) for automation and reporting.
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are assets.
- Bilingual (English and French) to effectively serve clients across all provinces
Education and Experience
- College diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-5 years of relevant technical support experience, including Tier 2 responsibilities
