Explore your next role:

As a key member of the Quality Control Department, the Technical Record Specialist will audit and research aircraft records and technical documents to provide recommendations and support for current and future end of life programs as well as import/export activities.

Your responsibilities:

  • Research and audit aircraft technical records for compliance with manufacturers and regulatory requirements.
  • Sort and review journey and technical logbook pages for Voyageur Aerotech managed and end of life aircraft.
  • Review journey and technical logbook pages and creating journey log entries to update flight times and cycles in the CMP for aircraft entering the end-of-life program.
  • Liaise with Maintenance and Avparts personnel and to answer technical inquiries regarding:
    o Aeronautical product history and certification requirements.
    o technical assistance for part interchangeability.
    o Interpretation of manufacture publications.
  • Transcribe technical logbook entries for Major Components, Engines, APUs and Propellers.
  • Prepare Importation and Exportation documents for Transport Canada.
  • Produce aircraft and component reports for the Quality Manager.
  • Compile and provide aircraft component documentation to the Project Supervisors for the completion of part certification and processing.
  • Update aircraft and component tracking in the CMP.
  • Upload of new aircraft maintenance history into the CMP.
  • Provide back up and assistance to Technical Records Administrators regarding aircraft and component technical inquiries.
  • Facilitate the delivery of aircraft records to customers.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • Diploma in a Transport Canada accredited Aircraft Maintenance program is preferred
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer who currently holds or has previously held an Aircraft Certification Authority within a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Organization is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar role
  • Able to organize large data and handle multiple interruptions
  • High detail orientation
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
