Role Description
The Human Resources Generalist is a full-time, on-site role based in Burnaby, BC. This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, including administering HR policies, maintaining employee records, and coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities. The role includes managing employee benefits programs, assisting with benefits administration, and responding to employee inquiries. The Human Resources Generalist will help ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, support performance management processes, and collaborate with leaders to promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience supporting daily HR operations. Ability to interpret, apply, and maintain HR Policies, ensuring consistency and compliance across the organization. Experience with Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee communication. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and staff levels. Proficiency with HRIS or related HR software, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CPHR or similar designation (or working toward it) is an asset. Knowledge of relevant employment standards and legislation in British Columbia, and commitment to promoting an inclusive, respectful workplace.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected annual total compensation for this position is CAD $80,000–100,000. The final package will be based on the candidate’s experience, capabilities, and fit for the role.
The compensation package includes
Base salary: CAD $80,000–100,000
Company equity that vests annually, subject to the applicable equity plan, grant terms, and vesting schedule Employee medical insurance and other applicable company benefits Paid vacation and statutory holidays The opportunity to grow with a fast-moving, pre-IPO technology company
