About the role

This is a 4-month work term from May 2026 to August 2026.

The Community Relations department represents a centralized service delivery model and coordinates financial sponsorship and product donations to all communities throughout North America where we have business operations. Reporting to the Program Manager, Community Engagement, the Community Relations Assistant is involved with the day-to-day operational aspects of this department.

  • Manage the donation request platform (Optimy) by ensuring all content is up to date before and after meetings and maintaining accurate records in the tracking Excel sheet.

  • Support the review and analysis of sponsorships and donations, including follow‑up communication with approved projects within the predetermined budget range.

  • Oversee the Community Relations inbox, ensuring all inquiries are responded to promptly or redirected to the appropriate contact.

  • Assist with company activations and events, including the creation of support materials and representing the company at community events.

  • Interactions with Community Relations, Marketing, Communications to align on business objectives and consistency in brand standards.

  • Inform and collaborate with Community Relations leadership to support day‑to‑day departmental tasks and activities.

  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to order materials that support Community Relations activations and initiatives.

  • Communicate with external community members regarding approved Community Relations projects to ensure clarity, responsiveness, and positive stakeholder engagement.

  • Majority in‑office with some external community activities.

  • Travel may be required for various organizational events or product deliveries, as needed.

  • Enrolled in business, marketing, office, or communications degree is required (Communications and/or marketing preferred).

  • Passion for community (volunteer or community engagement, customer service preferred).

  • MS Office Suite, Excel & PowerPoint.

  • High energy, enthusiasm, integrity, and professional demeanor are required personal attributes.

  • Organizational and time management skills.

  • Professional interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with all levels within the company as well as with external stakeholders.

  • Working knowledge of French and English would be considered an asset.

  • Strong writing and proofreading capabilities.
