About the role

Reports To: VP, Human Resources

Contract Duration: This is a part-time contract position for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

Work Schedule: Approximately 20–25 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate project timelines and institutional engagements.

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support Miele Canada’s recruitment initiatives across North America. This role will focus on strategic sourcing, recruitment automation, institutional partnerships, and manager enablement. The ideal candidate will bring experience with Workday, strong project management skills, and a passion for building scalable recruitment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Strategy & Execution

  • Lead and support hiring initiatives for part-time, contract, and full-time roles across Canada and the U.S.

  • Create and maintain recruitment templates (job descriptions, interview guides, offer letters).

  • Implement automation tools to streamline candidate tracking, scheduling, and onboarding.

  • Workday Integration

  • Utilize Workday for job postings, candidate management, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to optimize recruitment workflows in Workday.

  • Institutional Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and training institutions to support co-op, internship, and graduate hiring programs.

  • Represent Miele at career fairs and networking events.

  • Project Support

  • Contribute to North American HR projects, including talent pipeline development and job architecture validation.

  • Support initiatives related to global talent management and internal mobility.

  • Manager Training & Enablement

  • Develop and deliver training sessions for hiring managers on interviewing, candidate evaluation, and Workday usage.

  • Provide coaching and support to ensure consistent and inclusive hiring practices.

  • Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition or HR, preferably in a multinational setting.
    • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Familiarity with recruitment automation tools and techniques.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Compensation

    Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Contract employees are eligible for applicable statutory benefits.
