We’re looking for a dependable, energetic team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys staying active. You communicate well, keep the sales floor clean and organized, and deliver friendly, helpful customer service. If you bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the willingness to jump in wherever needed, you’ll be a great fit at Talize.

Availability requirements:
Part Time Team members are required to have Minimum availability of twenty (20) hours a week, with each availability slot being no less than four (4) hours long.

Shift availability must include:

  • Two (2) weekday shifts Monday through Friday, including one closing shift.
  • Two (2) full weekend day, equivalent to eight (8) hours each shift.

Pay Rate: $17.60/hr

What You’ll Be Doing - Every Day is Game Day

Departmental Duties

  • Customer Service & Sales Support:
  • Greet customers warmly, offer product recommendations, and assist with inquiries or concerns.
  • Handle register transactions accurately, including refunds, exchanges, and tax exemptions.
  • Resolve customer issues professionally while maintaining a positive in-store experience.
  • Support sales events and promotions through effective product presentation and setup.
  • Store Operations:
  • Maintain merchandise availability by restocking shelves, returning fitting room items, and keeping displays neat and aligned with standards.
  • Keep the sales floor, fitting rooms, register areas, and common spaces clean, organized, and fully stocked.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as scheduled.
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with donation door operations.
  • Safety, Compliance, & Loss Prevention:
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Report spills, hazards, suspicious activity, and operational issues promptly to maintain a safe environment.
  • Manage donations according to proper handling guidelines.
  • Team Support & Collaboration:
  • Participate in team huddles and communicate effectively to align on goals.
  • Assist team members across departments and respond to intercom calls as needed.
  • Stay flexible by shifting between tasks such as POS coverage, fitting room assistance, and floor recovery.
  • Contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and productive team atmosphere.

What You Bring - Skills That Turn Heads

  • Outstanding customer service and a genuinely helpful attitude.
  • Reliability, consistency, and accountability in every shift
  • A strong team mindset and willingness to jump in where needed
  • Retail or thrift experience (an asset, not required)
  • An eye for visual presentation and tidy merchandise displays
  • Comfort with cash handling or POS systems (considered a plus)

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and moving throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull rolling containers up to 500 lbs.
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, insects, garbage, and occasional rodents.
  • Noisy environment with varying temperatures.
  • Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular interaction with customers and the public.
