What The Role Offers The role reports to the Sr. Director of Revenue Operations and is responsible for managing all variable compensation systems. This role is based in Waterloo, Canada. The successful candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and possess a broad understanding of technical workflows required in processing compensation data.

Responsibilities include ensuring compensation calculations are accurate, variable compensation and incentive plan design systems implementation, manual data feed processing, and managing technical issues when they arise in Xactly.

A critical success in this role will be the ability to provide efficient support to the wider variable compensation teams, to communicate and work collaboratively with other groups across the global OpenText organization, including HR, Finance, and Sales.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Ensuring all variable compensation systems and processes function seamlessly, including Xactly, SAP data feeds, and BI warehouse integrations.
  • Collaborating with IT teams and third-party vendors to maintain system integrity and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Managing automated commission calculations and overseeing accurate execution of monthly cycles.
  • Implementing changes to commission and incentive plan designs in alignment with business objectives.
  • Owning and maintaining variable compensation plan document templates in partnership with HR.
  • Validating monthly commission data to ensure accuracy and prevent errors, system failures, or duplicate records.
  • Overseeing manual data feed uploads and ensuring timely, accurate processing within compensation systems.
  • Partnering with Corporate IT, SFDC, and SAP technical teams to confirm system flows and integrations operate correctly.
  • Interpreting commission and incentive plan provisions to guarantee proper implementation and compliance.
  • Driving system testing, UAT, and validation plans for upstream changes in partnership with IT.
  • Identifying and implementing innovative, efficient solutions, including evaluating new technologies or systems.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Financial Analysis, Computer Science, IT, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, and/or metrics and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose problems, design solutions, and manage complex data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in sales compensation strongly preferred.
  • Expertise with Xactly or similar compensation platforms is an asset.

Salary Range: $92,300 - $138,500; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
