AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY AWAITS!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Content Creator to join our Marketing Team! The Digital Content Coordinator plays a supporting role in the execution of website, email, and digital communications, helping bring content to life across key member-facing channels. This role focuses on accurately inputting, formatting, and updating content within existing systems and templates, ensuring SCU is delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for our members.

Working closely with the Marketing Technology Specialist (website), as well as the Graphic Designer and System Administrator, Marketing Cloud (email), the Digital Content Coordinator acts as a key quality checkpoint across digital channels, ensuring content is implemented efficiently, meets quality standards, and aligns with established brand and accessibility guidelines.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience across website, email, and owned digital channels, while contributing to high-quality digital experiences for SCU members.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Input and publish content within the content management system (CMS)
  • Apply formatting, meta data, and basic layout adjustments in line with established standards, making minor edits to content to improve clarity, flow, and consistency
  • Support the creation and updating of webpages based on established templates and direction, performing quality checks prior to publishing (e.g., formatting, broken links, consistency)
  • Assist with ongoing website updates, content refreshes, and clean-up initiatives to identify and flag outdated, inconsistent, or unclear content
  • Input content into existing email templates, formatting content appropriately within templates
  • Support basic testing (e.g., preview checks, link validation) and conduct quality assurance checks (e.g., links, formatting, accuracy) prior to deployment
  • Support the creation and updating of simple digital assets (e.g., in-branch screens, digital signage) using established templates and brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to ensure assets are accurate and aligned with brand standards
  • Ensure content aligns with brand, accessibility, and formatting standards
  • Identify and flag inconsistencies across channels (e.g., web vs. email messaging)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify content requirements
  • Share feedback on recurring issues to help improve templates and processes

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 1–3 years of experience in a digital content, marketing, or communications support role

  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) or web publishing tools

  • Strong written communication and editing skills with attention to tone and detail

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in execution tasks

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working within brand and content guidelines in a regulated or structured environment

  • Experience working with Kentico, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and template design tools is preferred

  • Basic understanding of HTML and familiarity with accessibility and web content best practices (not required, but an asset)
