We are looking for a Maintenance professional to provide technical expertise of Turnaround (TA) schedules as well as utilize previous experience and formal training to ensure compliance to Suncor TA process/procedures. You will also review and provide inputs for processing changes for approval, prepare a resource loaded baseline schedule, monitor critical path, identify schedule slippage, and notify management to take mitigation measures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience scheduling projects with Primavera P6
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Experience with large-scale construction projects
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team; self-motivated, responsible, and proactive
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of scheduling theory and proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Develop and maintain Level 5 detailed work schedules; update daily to produce short-term look-aheads (e.g., 48–72 hours)
  • Lead constructability review meetings with Execution Coordinators
  • Support development of daily manpower plans (histograms) and progress curves for overall project and discipline-based quantities
  • Produce schedule deliverables including critical path analysis, key milestones, Earned Value reports, and other metrics
  • Monitor and analyze schedule performance indicators such as Critical Path, SPI, Float, and delay impacts

Location and other key details:

  • The position is located out of our Sarnia Refinery Office, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway, Sarnia Ontario
  • Salary rate: $113,000 - $118,000 annually
  • This position follows a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday. Some extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines or business needs
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
