We are currently seeking an Afternoon Outbound Operations Supervisor to lead and manage outbound dock operations at our Surrey terminal. This role is critical to ensuring freight moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining strong service standards across our network.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with solid LTL experience, strong people skills, and a clear understanding of outbound loading, linehaul cut-offs, and service commitments.
Shift: Monday-Friday 15:00-23:30
Location: 11398 Bridgeview Dr Surrey BC V3R 0C2
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate afternoon/evening outbound dock operationsEnsure freight is loaded accurately, safely, and on time to meet linehaul schedulesLead, coach, and support dock staff, shunt drivers, and loadersMonitor trailer utilization, cube, weight distribution, and load qualityEnforce safety policies, procedures, and company standards at all timesCommunicate with dispatch, linehaul, customer service, and terminal leadershipIdentify service risks and take proactive steps to minimize delays or missesTrack productivity, damages, and service metricsAssist with staffing, training, and performance management as required
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of management experience in an LTL terminal environment
- Strong understanding of outbound LTL operations and linehaul cut-offs
- Experience leading union workforces
- Knowledge of Canadian transportation regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced dock environment
- Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- Forklift and dock operations experience considered an asset
