As a Corporate Consultant on the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, you will support various programs, projects, initiatives and activities as part of The City's risk management efforts. You may also be involved in other corporate wide projects related to issues management and other emerging strategic initiatives. Primary duties include:
- Identify, develop, and prioritize opportunities for advancing the Enterprise Risk Management Program.
- Support, consult with and lead interdepartmental project teams and initiatives.
- Support management of partner relationships.
- Prepare key deliverables such as reports, presentations, risk assessments, and business cases.
Qualifications
- A degree with 8 or more years experience in risk management, project management and/or management consulting; OR
- A graduate degree with 1 or more year(s) experience in risk management, project management and/or management consulting.
- Knowledge of management tools such as environmental scanning, analysis and reporting, risk metrics and measures, and risk-based decision making would be considered an asset.
- Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate risk assessment, project management, consulting skills and project team leadership skills in a dynamic environment with the ability to prepare and present complex reports and presentations.
- Success in this position requires excellent strategic, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt within a changing environment with competing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required including the ability to build trust, influence and resolve conflicts within a team environment.

Workstyle
- This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Position Type: 1 Temporary (up to 18 months)
Location: 800 Macleod Trail S.E.
Compensation: Pay Grade 12 $48.54 - 64.88 per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
