We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join our growing Ottawa studio and contribute to the continued growth of our local and practice wide portfolio. In this role, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our presence in the region and elevating the design direction of our projects. If you thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. How you'll make a difference:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire interdisciplinary project teams throughout all phases of Interior Design projects
- Oversee project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, documentation, and adherence to professional and client standards
- Champion the design vision by leading or supporting the development of functional programming, conceptual design, and detailed design documents
- Prepare and oversee schematic and conceptual design drawings, space plans, layouts, sketches, and presentations that clearly communicate design intent
- Deliver innovative, high-quality design solutions while fostering communication and coordination across internal teams, external consultants, and clients
- Application of relevant codes, and standards throughout the design and documentation process
- Prepare, monitor, maintain and co-ordinate project documents, including, schedules, specifications, and FF&E selection and documentation
- Support construction administration activities, including periodic site attendance, responding to RFIs, and review of submittals, to ensure design intent is upheld
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field, with 10+ years of experience leading projects
- Experience working with government projects and ability to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance
- Strong understanding of branding and its application within interior environments
- Proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite
- Skilled communicator who is team oriented, accountable, and effective at coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and contractors
- Experienced in preparing presentations and leading stakeholder engagement sessions to support design direction and project alignment
- Experienced in leading teams, managing deliverables, schedules, and fees, and maintaining strong client relationships

- Bilingual in English and French
- Experience in business development
- NCIDQ certification
