JOB SUMMARY: The successful candidate is responsible for assisting the nursing staff with everyday tasks on the unit, as well as helping patients with their transfers, their meals and enhancing their comfort. The aide is also responsible for collecting and cleaning equipment and supplies and then storing them in the appropriate areas, as well as dispatching samples, equipment and supplies to various sectors. The aide must also ensure that there are sufficient quantities of supplies on the nursing unit. Related duties may be occasionally be assigned for the smooth operation of the sector. REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or general education diploma (GED);Recognized basic life support (BLS) or availability to take this course;Transfer techniques ? Block A and Block B based on the schedule;Proven ability to organize and manage assigned workload;Proven communication and interpersonal skills;Proven ability to function in a changing work environment;Ability to work independently and as a team member;Physical ability to perform assigned duties;Good previous work history (performance and attendance);Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organization values;Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitality Health Network.
