Position #: 9011581 Expected Start Date: June 05, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Eastend Wolf Willow Health Centre City/Town: Eastend Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Number of Hours per Rotation: 300.16 hours per 12 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: EMS Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Reporting to the Manager or designate for the area of province they are working, the Emergency Medical Services - EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, and provides assessment, treatment and transportation of the ill or injured persons consistent with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and bylaws; and Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) policies, procedures and work standards. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational instituteLicenses- Valid Class 4 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)- Current Basic Life Support-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(BLS-CPR) certificationCompetencies- Demonstrates responsible decision-making ability through the application of critical thinking- Listening skills- Written Communication Skills- Verbal communication skills- Interpersonal skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulance Information System.- Conflict resolution skills to effectively handle difficult issues- Able to safely and consistently lift/load stretcher on a regular basis- Physically able to perform the duties of pre-hospital emergency care- Ability to be resilient- Basic comp...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
