About the role
<div>Select is partnering with our client to recruit a reliable and experienced Class 1 Delivery Driver to handle deliveries and pickups of building materials in Fort Macleod and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable operating step-deck trailers, enjoys time on the road, and takes pride in safe and efficient driving.<br><br>What’s in it for You?<br>• Competitive hourly wage with overtime opportunities<br>• Benefits after 3 months<br>• Steady work with a mix of local and occasional longer trips<br><br>Compensation & Hours:<br>• The rate of pay will be $28–$30/hr, depending on experience<br>• Full-time position<br>• Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays required<br>• Occasional overnight trips may be required<br><br>Position Summary:<br>• Deliver and pick up materials safely and on time<br>• Operate Class 1 vehicles, including step-deck trailers when required<br>• Secure loads and ensure compliance with safety regulations<br>• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections<br>• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation<br>• Communicate with dispatch and customers as needed<br>• Represent the company professionally at job sites and on the road<br><br>Required Qualifications:<br>• Valid Class 1 driver’s license<br>• Previous experience in delivery or transportation roles<br>• Strong understanding of load securement and safety practices<br>• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays and overnight trips<br>• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently<br>• Strong communication and customer service skill<br><br>Bonus Points For:<br>• Experience operating step-deck trailers<br>• Experience delivering construction or building materials<br>• Familiarity with local and regional routes<br><br>Right People.
