Mercor is seeking expert evaluators to support a high-impact evaluation workflow in partnership with a leading AI research lab.
This project focuses on the Government / Public Policy domain , where you will assess agent-generated research reports related to census data, economic indicators, voting statistics, budget allocations, and policy impact metrics.
Who We're Hiring We are looking for evaluators with a background in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, Data Analysis, or related fields. This role is ideal for professionals who have:
- 2–3 years of professional experience in public policy analysis, government research, economic analysis, or related roles
- Experience working with census datasets, demographic reports, or population statistics
- Familiarity with economic indicators such as GDP, inflation, employment data, and fiscal trends
- Experience in analysing voting statistics, electoral data, or public opinion research
- Hands-on exposure to government budget allocations, public expenditure reports, or fiscal policy analysis
- Experience interpreting policy impact metrics and outcome-based performance indicators
- Experience sourcing and validating public datasets, statistical tables, and government reports from credible sources
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills
- Comfort working independently and asynchronously
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, Statistics, or a related field
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate agent-generated research reports for accuracy, relevance, data integrity, and clarity
- Assess insights derived from census data, economic indicators, and public finance reports
- Verify statistical tables, budget figures, and policy metrics using reputable public and government sources
- Identify inconsistencies in policy analysis, electoral data interpretation, and fiscal reporting
- Work independently to complete evaluations within deadlines
- Maintain consistency and precision across all assigned tasks
Role Details
- Part-time (20–40 hours/week) with flexible scheduling
- Competitive rates: $40–$60/hour depending on expertise
