About the role

Description

This is a temporary contractor position for a current existing vacancy.

Role Overview

The SAP Tool Administrator/Developer is responsible for configuring, managing, and enhancing the SAP suite of implementation and sustainment support tools to support end to end delivery. This role ensures that project governance, Enterprise Architecture teams, requirements management, testing, change management, monitoring, and operations are effectively supported. The individual acts as the technical owner of the suite within the program and collaborates closely with PMO, functional teams, BASIS, development teams, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

CALM Support

  • Design: Project Setup, Methodology and Fit-to-Standard
  • Assist project team members to create a Project, onboard Team Members and manage Fit-to-Standard Workshops with Intelligent
  • Enterprise scenarios and SAP Best Practice content.
  • Onboarding & Project Setup
  • Invite Users and assign them to your SAP Activate Roles and Teams
  • Structure Project timelines with Phases, Sprints and Milestones
  • Select SAP Activate Methodology Roadmap per SAP Product
  • Benefit from SAP Standard Process content like SAP Best Practice Content and Intelligent Enterprise Scenarios

Fit-to-Standard Execution

  • Manage Fit-to-Standard Workshops in SAP Cloud ALM
  • Process based scoping for Fit-to-Standard Workshops
  • Detailed access to SAP Standard Process Models, Test Scripts and Executables
  • Create own Processes with integrated Process Modelling capabilities

Solution Documentation

  • Manage documentation with SAP Cloud ALM, your central source of truth.
  • Link documentation to Processes, Requirements, User Stories, Libraries and more.
  • Import and Export documentation via Excel or API
  • Track documentation completeness

Build: Project Management and Project Execution

  • Assist project team members to perform implementation activities based on SAP Activate, integrated in SAP toolchain.
  • Manage project using agile methodologies with Sprints, User Stories and Story Points
  • Consume methodology tasks with accelerators from SAP Activate roadmaps
  • Visualize dependencies in a Gantt-Chart View
  • Integrate with other project management tools using open APIs
  • Integrated with SAP Central Business Configuration for SAP S4/HANA Cloud

Project Execution

  • Manage all implementation activities necessary for WRICEFs*
  • Break down Requirements in User Stories and Tasks
  • Distribute work using subtasks and assign to other teams or project members
  • Track project and solution readiness using integrated analytics

Test: Planning, Manual Testing, Test Automation

  • Assist project team members to prepare and execute tests based on SAP content for manual testing and integration of automated testing tools.Deploy: Change Enablement & Deployment Orchestration
  • Test Planning & Orchestration
  • Prepare Tests for Manual and Automated Test Cases
  • Orchestrate testing across different test types and test automation providers
  • Plan and structure tests execution using Test Plans
  • Leverage SAP delivered standard Test Cases
  • Prepare Tests on Process based Requirements

Test Execution

  • Execute manual, step based test cases
  • Integration of Test Automation providers
  • SAP S/4HANA Test Automation Tool
  • Tricentis Test Automation
  • Manage defects in Test Execution

Deploy: Change Enablement & Deployment Orchestration

  • Assist project team members to manage the deployment of functionality through your implementation landscape by utilizing the new entity Feature.

Change Enablement

  • Document all software changes
  • Ensure traceability & audit trails
  • Record changes with integration into software deployment providers
  • SAP ABAP based, SAP Cloud TMS, ATO for SAP S/4HANA Cloud*

Deployment Orchestration

  • Deliver software using features across solution and project landscape
  • Plan deployments using deployment plans and releases
  • Orchestrating different deployment mechanisms and ensure consistent software delivery to production

Analytics: Project Tracking, Overview and Traceability

  • Assist project team members to use Integrated Analytics to make it easier for all project members to understand KPIs and their impact on the implementation project.

Project Tracking & Overview

  • Aggregated and organized view on all aspects of the project in one location
  • Analyze real-time project execution data and ensure successful project execution
  • Drill down to critical KPIs and identify bottlenecks or blockers

Traceability

  • Ensure Traceability from processes, requirements, tasks, tests, down to the deployment to production
  • Use Requirements Traceability to ensure that all requirements are properly implemented, tested and ready for deployment
  • Process Traceability provides you insights in the readiness from a process perspective
  • Feature Traceability allows the identification of successfully implemented features and test readiness before deployment

Open APIs: Extend SAP Cloud ALM with third party tools

  • Integrate third party tools into SAP Cloud ALM by using our open API's
  • Find all APIs, Documentation and Accelerators at the SAP API Business Hub
  • Available APIs for SAP Cloud ALM for Implementation: Projects, Tasks, Documents, Analytics, Test Automation

Signavio Support

  • Support the full process modeling and analysis lifecycle
  • Lead business process discovery, modeling, and optimization using SAP Signavio.
  • Conduct process mining, gap analysis, and process improvement workshops with business stakeholders.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end process maps, BPMN models, and governance frameworks.
  • Support S/4HANA transformation programs through process standardization and harmonization.
  • Analyze current business workflows and recommend automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Configure and manage Signavio Process Manager, Process Intelligence, and Collaboration Hub.
  • Define KPIs, dashboards, and metrics for process performance monitoring.
  • Work closely with functional teams (FI/MM/SD/etc.) to align business and IT processes.
  • Facilitate change management and user adoption initiatives.
  • Ensure documentation, compliance, and best practices in process architecture.

LeanIX Support

  • LeanIX is primarily managed by the Enterprise architecture Team
  • Support of LeanIx as part of the SAP Delivery and Operation team
  • Ensure that CALM and Signavio data is integrated into LeanIX as required
  • Develop LeanIX views and reports

Skills & Experience:

Must Have:

  • 4+ years of SAP experience
  • Strong expertise in SAP Cloud ALM
  • Test automation tools (e.g., Tricentis, CBTA)
  • SAP Solution Manager or similar experience
  • SAP BTP (workflow, integration, automation, extensions)
  • Transport and landscape management (CTS+, ChaRM)
  • Familiarity with APIs, integration patterns, and monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of business process transformation

Nice to Have:

  • Hands on experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations (Greenfield or Brownfield)
  • Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and project governance.
  • Exposure to SAP Signavio Suite.
  • Expertise in BPMN 2.0 modeling, process governance, and lifecycle management
  • Experience in process mining, value realization, and transformation analytics.
  • Integration experience with SAP solutions like S/4HANA, SAP Solution Manager, or LeanIX is a plus.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts (TOGAF, SAP EAF, or similar).
  • Understanding of capability mapping, end to end process architecture, and IT landscape modelling.

Functional & Project Skills:

  • Some understanding of business processes across SAP modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Ability to work with cross functional project teams and translate tool requirements into actionable configurations.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to ensure alignment between CALM structures (tasks, processes, requirements) and enterprise architecture standards and roadmaps.

Soft Skills:

  • Stakeholder Enablement & Support for Suite
  • Provide training and support for project teams.
  • Develop user guides, training materials, and quick reference documents.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tool issues and enhancements.
  • Support EA in communicating architectural standards, rationales, and roadmap related impacts across stakeholders.

This is a hybrid position requiring the contractor to be on site at least 3 days per week at the Markham Project Location.
