We are looking for an experienced Workshop Lead to supervise the activities of a team of auto body technicians at our Aviva AutoCare Centre located in Mississauga.
In this role you will coordinate daily operations to ensure flawless workflow, maintaining and exceeding quality standards, and driving continuous improvement in team performance. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment, ensuring that every repair meets the highest standards of excellence for Aviva’s customers.

What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and supervise the work of mechanics and technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standards
- Plan, schedule, and assign work to the team, considering priorities, deadlines, and available resources
- Inspect completed work, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to improve performance
- Find opportunities to promote customer satisfaction and process improvement
- Maintain quality and technical standards within the site
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Deliver on promises made to customers, ensuring minimal downtime for their vehicles
- Identify and resolve issues and blockages that interrupt the workflow in the workshop
- Oversee training needs, ensuring appropriate training is delivered
- Ensure an appropriate level of resources to meet customer demands
- Make decisions based on knowledge and data
- Conduct performance reviews and develop talent within the team
- Promote Aviva AutoCare Centre values and goals
What You’ll Bring
- Post-secondary education
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the auto repair industry
- Prior leadership experience with outstanding coaching skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong understanding of automotive mechanics and repair procedures
- Demonstrates adaptability and openness to change with a proactive mindset in embracing new work practices and technologies
- Proficiency using body shop management systems; knowledge of Body Shop Connect preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions
What You’ll Get
- The salary band for this position ranges from $95,000 to $110,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
