The Software Development Engineer in Test role, part of the Solution Test Team, will support the development of test automation frameworks, creation of automated test scripts, and assist in performance testing initiatives.
Your test automation experience will contribute to automating the infrastructure and test management systems necessary for comprehensive workflow and real-world scenario testing across our integrated product suites to deliver high quality medical software products.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Take directions from the Solution Test Automation Manager and work with them to understand requirements and testing needs
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing, data management needs using modern frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, or Cypress)
- Participate in performance testing activities, including scripting, load generation and result analysis
- Contribute to test documentation, including test plans, work instructions and best practices
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging and maintaining test environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and continuously improve the systems delivered
- Incorporate the use of AI appropriately to speed efficiency, quality, and outcomes in the SDLC process, reporting, and daily activities

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with test automation and software testing
- 2+ years of experience in programming using JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Python
- 1+ years of experience with UI automation tool (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
- 1+ years of experience with API automation using tools such as Rest Assured, Postman, or similar frameworks
- 1+ years of experience with test reporting tools and test management systems (like Zephyr, X-Ray, TestRail)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with healthcare workflows
- Experience in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with peers and stakeholders
- All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.
Canada Residents Only: The salary range for Canada residents is $61,400 to $127,500 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
