SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group, an international consulting and engineering group, a world leader in the design of transport infrastructures. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.
Context:
The International Transport Planner support teams in the production and management of major international transportation projects, particularly in Canada and Asia, and contribute to internal project development.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Support teams in delivering international transportation projects and internal development.
- Assist with analysis reports and integrated mobility concepts.
- Contribute to data collection, analysis, and management.
- Participate in meetings and prepare minutes.
- Support consultation processes and sustainable development initiatives.
- Help develop GIS tools for transportation planning.
Profile/Skills:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in transport planning, transport economics, civil engineering, or related field. A Master's Degree in one of these disciplines is preferred.
Years of experience: Minimum 12 years of work experience in transport planning, transport modelling, and/or transport analysis.
Specific Requirements: Assigned as a Transport Planner or equivalent, and at least three (3) projects which include a cargo and freight railway. At least 1 transport project in Asia-Pacific or other similar environments. Travelling required.
Technical competencies:
- Strong report, memo, and meeting minutes writing skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities; proficient in PowerPoint and Excel for communication and data synthesis.
- Familiarity with GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS) is an asset.
- Experience with CUBE software is an advantage.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in French and in English*
