We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and other adjustments, ensuring entries are supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Track capital projects and fixed asset additions; ensure proper capitalization timing.
  • Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes by preparing detailed schedules and financial reports, performing in-depth financial statement analysis and reconciling differences.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and schedules and respond to auditor requests during
  • Assist in the filling of all required business returns and reporting (Tax, WC, Health)
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reports
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
  • Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as needed
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA candidate or certification is a plus
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience in a corporate accounting environment, with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Legal and Regulatory knowledge of applicable payroll accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software – NetSuite preferred
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential financial information
