As a Senior QA Automation Analyst you'll join a dynamic team, transforming platforms into industry-leading digital products. Responsibilities include developing and executing automated test cases, designing automation frameworks, and building/maintaining software solutions for functional, integration, and regression testing. You'll also ensure product quality throughout the software development lifecycle by collaborating with the development team. The role covers automated functional, performance, and end-to-end test support. Strong skills in development, QA planning/execution, and integrated testing are essential. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced Agile environment with Product Owners, a Scrum Master, Business Analysts, and Developers.
This role is hybrid (2 - 3 days/week in the office) - we are open to candidates being located in one of our Canadian office locations: Toronto or Montreal. Key Accountabilities
- Design, develop and maintain automation framework/software solutions
- Establish and participate in a quality assurance culture that is based on user satisfaction and continuous improvement
- Identify and evaluate the risks related to the quality of applications
- Able to convert business requirements into test cases and test scenarios
- Manage and set up test environments
- Recommend innovative ideas to automate and reduce manual QA efforts
- Coordinate and perform all testing activities in the software development process
- Work with RESTful APIs, Restful Interfaces, Regular Expressions
- Participate in ongoing process improvement efforts to ensure test automation is promoted and applied effectively in the squad
- Research tools, methods, and technology trends to support program test automation objectives
- Well organized, result oriented, self-motivated, collaborative
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Must Haves
- Automation design and scripting skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in all functions of system testing
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in software development and quality assurance
- Experienced with variety of Quality Assurance technology architecture including application, infrastructure, data and security
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Automation design and scripting skills
- Strong development skills with Selenium, Python, Web Services, REST API, LoadRunner, etc.
- Good understanding of web frameworks
- Application Development Life Cycle - SDLC
- Experience working in UNIX/Linux and SQL environments
- Experience with Tools such as JIRA, TestRail
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in Financial Services and/or Capital Markets Industry
- Advanced knowledge of trading applications and FIX Protocol
- Organized, focused and persistent - ability to work to the plan and meet delivery dates
- Experience using BrowserStack or similar automation frameworks is an asset
- Experience with or knowledge of AWS is an asset
- Knowledge of Javascript is an asset
- Experience testing real-time applications is an asset
