Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes.
- Supervise the operations of the kitchen to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
- Assist in training and developing line associates to maintain high performance standards.
- Ensure food quality and presentation consistently meet established standards.
- Manage inventory control and ensure proper stocking of supplies.
- Monitor staff attendance and call in replacements for absentee team members.
- Assign duties and oversee task completion across kitchen sections.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Support the promotion of specials and contests to enhance guest engagement.
- Input payroll and assist with staff scheduling as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and friendly working environment.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to uphold consistent quality across all dishes.
- Communicate effectively with restaurant and banquet teams to coordinate service.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings and contribute to team goals.
- Enforce food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Must posess a valid Food Handlers certificate.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
