JOEY operates in a multi-entity highly computerized and data-driven environment, leveraging technology, automation, and integrated systems across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and finance functions. The company utilizes strategic co-manufacturing partners while also producing certain products internally from raw materials through finished goods, creating a dynamic and scalable operating model.

Position Description: The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Corporate Controller and serves as a key contributor within the Accounting & Finance function. This role is primarily responsible for working capital accounting, balance sheet integrity, month-end close activities, financial reporting support, and process improvement initiatives. The position partners with leaders and team members across all departments to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately, reconciliations are completed timely, and financial information is reported in accordance with IFRS, company policies, and established and documented internal controls.

Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accounts Payable and Procurement Accounting Management Own purchasing accounting, accounts payable processing, monitoring, and payment preparation Prepare reconciliations for select payables accounts including accounts payable, accrued purchases, capitalized production charges Analyze account activity and investigate unusual balances and fluctuations Monitor and report on invoicing received without approved purchase order, and aged payables Ensure timely processing and payment of all invoices and receipts Ensure timely processing and payment of expense reporting, as well as adherence to policy

Payroll Administration Oversee payroll processing and accounting for corporate and hourly employees (US and Cananda) Ensure proper labor coding to departments, cost centers, and production activity Partner with Human Resources regarding hires, terminations, pay changes, and employee records Support payroll compliance and audit requests Maintain corporate and sales bonus accruals

General Ledger Accounting & Analysis Own and maintain assigned working capital accounting processes and reconciliations Prepare reconciliations for cash, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, intercompany receivables & payables, and other assigned accounts Analyze account activity and investigate unusual balances and fluctuations Support working capital reporting and analysis Support external audits and prepare supporting schedules Support compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies, and ongoing documentation of accounting policies and procedures

Month-End Close, Balance Sheet Integrity, & Financial Reporting Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and supporting schedules Perform account analyses and financial statement fluctuation analysis Support internal and external financial reporting requirements Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules and resolve reconciling items timely

Capital & Fixed Asset Accounting Oversee accounting for fixed assets, depreciation, additions, transfers, and disposal Track project spend against approved budgets Manage fixed subledger and module within the ERP.

Process Improvement, Ad Hoc Analysis, & Strategic Support Improve accounting processes, controls, efficiency, reporting, and process documentation Assist with ERP enhancements, automation initiatives, and system implementations Support scalable accounting procedures and SOP development Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives Participate in special projects assigned by the Corporate Controller

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Strong experience in corporate accounting environments with emphasis on GL accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, month end close timeliness. Understanding of manufacturing workflows, wholesale production and sales accounting. Ability to communicate effectively with corporate personnel, operations leaders, and executive management while translating detailed data into concise business insights. Experience working in a highly computerized environment and processing financial transactions using and/or implementing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and/or accounting software. NetSuite experience preferred, advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Self-starter that places an emphasis on accuracy, ownership, accountability, and timely execution with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines. Professional written and verbal communication with multiple levels and departments. Analytical, detail-oriented, hands-on, and solutions driven.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Business Purchasing and Accounts Payable experience required CPA, CMA, or CPA Candidate preferred 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience Experience with month end close, general ledger account reconciliation and analysis General knowledge of IFRS or U.S. GAAP
