We're looking for an organized, creative, and driven Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing creativity with project management, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants hands-on experience across marketing, product innovation, commercialization, trade shows, and brand development.
In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to help launch new products, coordinate industry events, support marketing initiatives, and contribute to the growth of a well-loved coffee brand. POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Innovation, the Marketing Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting the development and execution of marketing initiatives that drive brand growth, product innovation, and customer engagement across the business.
Working within a hybrid environment, this position supports the successful execution of trade shows and industry events, product commercialization initiatives, marketing campaigns, and day-to-day project coordination. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Development, Quality Assurance, Operations, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
This role is ideal for a highly organized and proactive individual who enjoys managing multiple priorities, solving problems, and contributing to the growth of innovative consumer brands. It offers valuable exposure to brand management, innovation, commercialization, and strategic business initiatives, providing a strong foundation for future career growth.
ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trade Shows & Events Research and evaluate trade shows, industry conferences, consumer events, and sponsorship opportunities aligned with brand and business objectives. Recommend event participation strategies and activation opportunities to maximize brand visibility and consumer/customer engagement. Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including registration, booth logistics, promotional materials, product samples, shipping, travel arrangements, and post-event reporting. Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop event objectives, lead generation strategies, and customer engagement initiatives. Coordinate marketing collateral, presentations, promotional materials, and branded assets for customer meetings and industry events. Track, analyze, and report on event performance, lead generation, customer engagement, and return on investment (ROI). Represent the company at trade shows, retail events, and networking opportunities across Canada as required.
Product Innovation & Commercialization Support the commercialization process for new product launches from concept through market introduction. Collaborate with Product Development, Quality Assurance, Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams to ensure successful execution of innovation projects. Assist with product launch planning, packaging updates, product positioning, customer presentations, and internal communications. Develop and maintain project timelines, milestone tracking, and action plans to ensure projects remain on schedule. Coordinate internal approvals and cross-functional communication throughout the commercialization process. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify consumer trends, category opportunities, and emerging innovations. Support the development of business cases, launch recommendations, and product/packaging performance reviews.
Marketing Administration & Project Coordination Maintain and update marketing calendars, including campaigns, trade shows, roadshows, customer programs, and product launches. Develop and manage project plans and Gantt charts to ensure visibility of timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and approvals. Track project performance, budgets, sales results, ROI, learnings, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Support marketing budget administration, including purchase orders, invoice processing, vendor coordination, and expense tracking. Manage inventory and logistics for marketing materials, product samples, point-of-sale materials, and retail displays. Prepare presentations, reports, dashboards, and summaries to support planning, alignment, and decision-making. Organize and maintain marketing assets, databases, project documentation, and process records to ensure accuracy and accessibility across teams. Support the execution of seasonal campaigns, promotional programs, customer initiatives, and brand-building activities. Manage agencies, vendors, customers and supplier coordination as required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:
Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, project coordination, brand marketing, trade marketing, or related roles within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. Agency or client-side project coordination experience is considered an asset. Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is considered an asset. Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong project management and coordination capabilities with attention to detail. Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Basecamp, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms is considered an asset. Strong professionalism, sound judgment, and attention to detail. Positive, customer-focused attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset. Ability and willingness to travel occasionally within Canada for events and trade shows.
