Educational Assistant (Term Part-Time)
Steinbach Campus
POSITION TYPE: Part-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated October 27, 2025 up to March 31, 2026)
SALARY: $24.86 - $35.01 hourly
POSITION LOCATION: Steinbach Campus (70km outside of Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
The Educational Assistant plays a vital role in supporting student learning across various programs and certificates. Reporting to the Campus Manager, this enthusiastic and team-oriented individual provides hands-on assistance to both students and faculty, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
With a strong focus on facilitating learning, especially in lab and online settings, the Educational Assistant helps ensure a smooth transition for students into college life while also supporting faculty in delivering high-quality instruction.
This position requires a proactive, adaptable individual with strong interpersonal and technical skills who thrives in a collaborative academic setting and is passionate about student and faculty support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate in an Educational Assistant program or in a related field of study. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience working as a learning facilitator with students in an educational and/or tutoring environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in situations with frequent interruptions
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently and as part of a team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Strong technology and troubleshooting skill set, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with LEARN (D2L / Brightspace Learning Management System)
