Title: Data Analyst
Type: Contract Location : Remote- Canada Rate: CAD$ 70-75/hr INC
Job Description
Collaborate with business stakeholders to perform requirements analysis and refine functional and technical specifications Prepare Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents with accurate data definitions, transformation logic, and mapping rules Analyze, interpret, and validate data to support business needs and data engineering processes Work closely with data engineers, architects, and business teams to ensure data quality and alignment with solution designs Support ETL/ELT development processes by providing detailed mapping, data rules, and validation inputs Participate in data model reviews and contribute to the design and improvement of data structures in the warehouse environment.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands‑on experience using Snowflake (highly preferred) Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling, data vault modeling, and medallion architecture Good knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, cloud data platforms, and modern data warehouse practices Experience working with structured and semi‑structured data Ability to document and communicate analytical findings and technical details clearly Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Snowflake-specific features (e.g., stages, virtual warehouses, Snowpipe) Experience with data integration tools (e.g., dbt, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Talend) Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks Preferred Knowledge of Tools and Technology: ERWin Snowflake Snowsight Microsoft Excel and Word Python Notebooks
