ACE PLACE LEARNING
CENTRE, Taber
ACE Place Learning Centre is a grade 7-12
alternative/outreach program that offers differentiated choices in education to
assist students in overcoming obstacles to learning. ACE Place provides 3
distinct programs for our students. ACE has a grade 7-9 At-Home Learning
program where students engage in a hybrid of at-home and in-person learning.
ACE also has a fully in-person grade 7-9 junior high program focused on executive
function to find academic success for each student. Our high school
program (Gr.10-12) is a distance learning model where students can
work elbow to elbow with teachers and support staff at the school or take
modules to work from home. ACE staff work collaboratively in our
close-knit community to provide relationship
based, individualized learning for each student to find success.
Our school provides education to approx. 150 students.
1.0 FTE Temporary Teacher-
Assignment includes - High school Science/
Math
High School Math/ Science in a
distance learning/ module-based format (Sci 14/24, Sci 10, Math 10-3/20-3, Math
10C, Math 20-2/30-2, Forensic Science). One (1) block of direct
instruction junior high Science/ semester. This person should enjoy a
collaborative working environment with a small team, and a
student-centered approach to learning.

The position commences August 20, 2026,
and concludes June 29, 2027, or upon return of the incumbent, whichever
occurs first.

Horizon spans a geographic area of approximately 30,970 square kilometers, from Bulyea in the south, Wakaw in the north, Foam Lake in the east, and Viscount in the west. The division is divided into 14 Subdivisions for purposes of representation on the Board of Education.
