About the role

TX Logistics-Canada

TX Logistics is enhancing its leadership capabilities as part of a broader North American growth strategy. We are seeking an experienced and strategicDirector, Logistics – Canadato oversee our intermodal operations across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, while providing leadership for dedicated account management across key enterprise programs.

This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring pricing governance, and strengthening customer engagement across structured freight programs. The Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership, sales teams, and U.S. brokerage leadership to support scalable growth and high‑performance execution.

Key Responsibilities

Intermodal Leadership

  • Lead IMC operations across North America, including EMP and rail‑based transportation programs
  • Oversee day‑to‑day intermodal execution with a focus on service reliability, cost efficiency, and operational performance
  • Identify opportunities to convert truckload freight to intermodal where appropriate
  • Maintain strong coordination with rail partners, drayage providers, and internal operations teams

Strategic Account Management

  • Serve as the operational lead for dedicated customer programs, including LTL, FTL, and Flatbed
  • Ensure consistent service delivery and operational execution for strategic accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and enhance account performance

Operational Performance & KPIs

  • Establish and manage operational and financial performance metrics, including on‑time pickup/delivery and load acceptance
  • Monitor margin performance, cost per move, and service reliability
  • Analyze performance trends and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Develop reporting dashboards and visibility tools to support data‑driven decision‑making

Pricing & Margin Governance

  • Oversee pricing structures and rate governance for intermodal and dedicated programs
  • Partner with pricing analysts and sales leadership to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing
  • Support RFP responses, rate development, and margin optimization
  • Implement pricing discipline and escalation processes for complex lanes

Customer Engagement & Executive Communication

  • Participate in customer presentations, business reviews, and strategic planning discussions
  • Present operational performance, service enhancements, and growth opportunities to key customers
  • Support executive leadership in enterprise account management and business development initiatives

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop operational teams supporting intermodal and dedicated customer programs
  • Provide structure and guidance across CSR and operations functions
  • Foster a high‑performance culture focused on accountability, service excellence, and operational scalability

Qualifications

Skills & Functional Knowledge

  • Extensive expertise in North American intermodal networks, rail‑based transportation, and drayage operations
  • Strong understanding of multi‑modal logistics, including LTL, FTL, and Flatbed dedicated programs
  • Advanced financial acumen in freight pricing, margin management, and complex RFP processes
  • Proven ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with executive leadership and customers

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage
  • Demonstrated specialization in intermodal and rail‑based freight operations
  • Significant experience managing enterprise accounts or dedicated transportation programs
  • Strong track record of leading and developing high‑performance operational teams
