About the Role

Corus is a driving force in Canadian media, reaching audiences across platforms with trusted brands including Global TV. We’re looking for a QA Analyst to join our team and support the quality and reliability of the Global TV streaming experience across Mobile, Connected TV (CTV), Roku, Chromecast, and Smart TV platforms (Samsung, LG, etc.).

Reporting to the QA Team Lead, you will play a key role in validating new features, ensuring platform stability, and enabling high-quality releases across a diverse platform ecosystem.

You will contribute by:

  • Owning and driving end-to-end QA strategy across mobile (iOS, Android), CTV, Chromecast, and Smart TV platforms.

  • Designing, building, and scaling automated test frameworks using Appium & Java across a multi-device ecosystem.

  • Leading functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, including deep validation of video playback, ads, and user journeys.

  • Partnering closely with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, and CloudOps) to identify issues early and support timely, high-quality delivery.

Skills and experience you bring:

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, or related field.

  • 7+ years of manual and automation testing experience, with strong focus on OTT/streaming platforms.

  • Expertise in tools like Charles Proxy, Appium (with Java), TestNG, JavaScript, Loader.io, IntelliJ IDEA, AWS code pipeline, GitHub, Jenkins).

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and defect management

  • Proven expertise in mobile, CTV and Smart TV applications test automation, including framework design, scripts creation and maintenance.

  • Hands-on experience testing mobile, CTV platforms including Roku, Smart TVs (Samsung, LG), and streaming devices (Chromecast).

  • Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (AWS).

  • Experience testing authentication flows (SSO) in applications.

  • Experience with analytics validation and performance testing for streaming applications.

  • Experience with AI-driven QA tools (e.g.test generation, self-healing automation, or visual validation tools).

  • Experience working within Agile teams and integrating QA into CI/CD workflows.

  • Familiarity with streaming technologies (HLS, DASH), DRM, and playback validation.

  • Exposure to cloud-based device labs or remote testing tools.
