About the role

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring an experienced Journeyman Gas Fitter for an upcoming assignment in Central Ontario. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

  • $65.00 per hour before overtime
  • $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
  • Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
  • Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ontario Gas Fitter Class 1 license required.
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Basic computer skills - Windows
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a timely manner
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with a Heat Treat operation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a team with other trades
  • Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
