Collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and supporting patients and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own, providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. Unit 5 is a 24 bed Orthopedic and General Surgery Unit which will challenge you and strengthen your nursing skills and efficiency. Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills required. Excellent assessment and organizational skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Surgical experience an asset. C-Spine training and advanced wound care experience an asset.
