The purpose of this position is to design, develop, and manage the financial reporting system for the Facilities Management Division (FMD). Work may include tasks such as analyzing and interpreting financial reports while providing strategic advice and recommendations to division management; providing administrative support and assistance to the Business Operations Manager on special projects and initiatives; and collaborating as part of the Business Operations and Facilities Management Division team.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience analyzing financial data and implementing technical reports. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related degree may substitute for one year of experience. Experience interpreting financial documents and/or statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); GASB; and federal laws, regulations, and policies. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office including Excel spreadsheet software sufficient to create and run reports and prepare and run ad hoc reports. Computer skills in database, spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Office, sufficient to design, construct, retrieve, manipulate and analyze data and develop and format letters and reports Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills necessary to independently complete assignments in accordance with established time frames. Communication skills sufficient to explain technical information to a variety of audiences orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

State accounting experience. Financial auditing experience. Experience working with Crystal Reports and/or OBIEE. Experience in State fiscal systems such as SWIFT, SEMA4 or other comparable systems. Experience developing and improving accounting and financial reporting processes.
