The Systems Analyst is a senior, hands-on technical role within AiGC’s Information Technology Division that reports to the Manager, Business Applications and is responsible for the configuration, integration, implementation, and on-going support of the organization’s business applications across their full-lifecycle – from initial design, technical build through testing, deployment, and continuous enhancement. The role functions as a bridge between business and technology, working closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with operational needs.

Acting as a subject matter expert, the role builds deep internal technical knowledge, applies hands-on configuration and development skills to extend platform functionality, and contributes to a secure, well-integrated, and scalable application environment that supports AiGC's current operations and future growth.

This position is based in-office in Edmonton and will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to support AIGC’s IT operations.

Who You Are

The ideal applicant is a senior, hands-on technical professional with a strong background in supporting and optimizing enterprise business applications. They bring deep experience working with complex systems (such as CRM, ERP, or service platforms) and have a strong understanding of integrations, workflows, and system dependencies. The role provides hands-on technical expertise and platform support, maintaining deep knowledge of assigned systems and contributing to their implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operation. The role also helps strengthen AiGC’s internal capability by reducing reliance on vendors and supporting the development of sustainable, well-documented systems and processes.

They are a strong problem solver and critical thinker, capable of diagnosing issues, performing root-cause analysis, and proactively identifying risks before they impact operations. This individual is equally effective working independently and collaborating across teams, with the ability to translate business needs into practical, well-designed technical solutions. They communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and are confident working with vendors and service providers.

About the Role

In this role you will own: Application Platform Support and Administration Serve as the technical subject matter expert for assigned corporate and external-facing business applications Develop and maintain hands-on knowledge of application configuration, workflows, integrations, access management and dependencies Perform and coordinate configuration activities including workflows, forms, permissions, and automation rules Act as the escalation point for incidents, troubleshooting issues and coordinating vendor support where required Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues Develop and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge documentation Application Implementation and Continuous Improvement Support implementation of new applications and enhancements to existing platforms Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements Contribute to solution design and configuration decisions Coordinate testing, defect resolution, and release readiness activities Support user adoption through documentation, training, and post-implementation support Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance user experience, and automate workflows Integration and Technical Analysis Document and maintain understanding of system integrations, data flows, and dependencies Support development and troubleshooting of Single Sign-On (SSO), APIs, connectors, and automation workflows Create and maintain system diagrams, interface documentation, and technical artifacts Identify and communicate integration risks and dependencies to stakeholders Ensure alignment with security, privacy, and architecture standards Application Lifecycle, Vendor Support, and Service Management Maintain accurate records of applications, vendors, lifecycle stages, and support arrangements Monitor application health, performance, and service levels Coordinate vendors for incident resolution, upgrades, and enhancements Support ITIL-aligned processes including incident, problem, change, and release management Provide recommendations for application roadmap, rationalization, and governance Business Engagement and Documentation Build strong relationships with business units, IT teams, and external partners Facilitate discussions to gather requirements and communicate technical solutions Support procurement and vendor evaluation processes Prepare clear and concise technical documentation for both technical and business audiences

What You Bring

Required: Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 7+ years of progressive experience in supporting, implementing or administering business applications, Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms, or enterprise systems. Working knowledge of application integration concepts including APIs, connectors, webhooks, data flows, and workflow automation. Understanding of identify and access management concepts, including SSO, role-based access and application permissions. Experience supporting testing, release validation, operational readiness, and post-implementation activities for application implementations and enhancements. Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, including system diagrams, integration documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articles. Experience delivering change management activities including training, operational readiness, and adoption monitoring. Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 and at least one AI productivity tool (Copilot or equivalent). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present to executive and operational audiences. Preferred: Hands-on configuration or administration experience in ServiceNow (flow designer, catalog, CMDB). Experience supporting or administering enterprise platforms like CRM, ERP platforms. Experience with PowerBI or equivalent. Familiar with BPMN 2.0, UML or ArhiMate notation. Working knowledge of ITIL service management practices. Familiar with PROSCI and ADKAR change management frameworks. Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, BIZBOK) or agile delivery methodologies (SAFE, Scrum).
