As our Catering Events Lead, you’ll be the on-the-floor leader for catered onsite events—guiding the service team, creating calm in the busy moments, and ensuring every guest experience reflects Quails’ Gate standards of excellence.
Position Details
- Seasonal: May– December 2026
What you’ll do
- Lead and execute catered onsite events from setup to teardown—with a hands-on, guest-first approach.
- Be the primary point of contact for guests during events, handling requests with confidence and care.
- Run pre-event briefings so the team is aligned on timing, service flow, and key requirements.
- Coordinate smoothly with the kitchen and Catering Sous Chef to keep service pacing sharp and teamwork strong.
- Support the Catering Coordinator with pre-event planning tasks and post-event notes.
What you bring
- Valid Serving It Right certification.
- 3+ years of restaurant serving experience (fine dining preferred).
- Comfort working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong wine knowledge from experience and/or courses (WSET or equivalent).
- Organized, proactive, and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay mobile during multiple event setups.
- A natural, respectful leader who earns trust through action and professionalism.
