Salesforce Architect
Job Type: 3 months with possibility of extension.
Location: Remote (in Canada)
Salary: $60-$80/h Start Date: ASAP Your New Company Our client is a leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives and driving meaningful impact across Canada. They are investing heavily in their Salesforce ecosystem and are seeking a Salesforce Development Engineer to help deliver scalable, innovative, and high-quality platform solutions that support mission-critical business initiatives.
Your New Role
As a Salesforce Architect, you will serve as a senior technical contributor and hands-on Salesforce expert responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise Salesforce solutions. Working closely with architects, administrators, product owners, and business stakeholders, you will lead technical delivery while ensuring best practices in development, integration, DevOps, and platform architecture. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, providing mentorship to team members and helping drive the organization's Salesforce roadmap, including AI-enabled capabilities and enterprise integrations.
What You Need to Do
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools
- Lead technical solution design and provide architectural guidance across Salesforce initiatives
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions
- Conduct code reviews and establish development best practices
- Build and maintain integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs
- Design and support CI/CD pipelines, release management processes, and deployment automation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across project teams
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions effectively
- Evaluate and implement emerging Salesforce technologies, including Agentforce and AI-enabled capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement of development standards, platform performance, and delivery processes What You'll Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of Salesforce development experience within complex enterprise environments
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership and mentoring Salesforce developers
- Strong expertise in Salesforce development, including: Apex Development Triggers Asynchronous Processing Governor Limit Optimization Lightning Web Components (LWC) Salesforce Flows and Declarative Automation
- Experience determining when to utilize declarative versus programmatic solutions
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong experience integrating Salesforce with external applications using REST and SOAP APIs
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities Nice to Have
- Salesforce Platform Developer certifications
- Experience with Salesforce Agentforce and AI-driven solutions
- Experience with enterprise architecture and solution design
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, Git, Copado, Gearset, or similar DevOps tools
