HR GENERALIST
Tecumseh, Ontario | Full-Time | Permanent
Onfreight Logistics is currently seeking a motivated and professional HR Generalist to join our growing team at our headquarters in Tecumseh, Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a long-term career in Human Resources within a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment. The successful candidate will play a key support role across HR operations, employee administration, payroll support, workplace health and safety initiatives, and general business operations.

Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Manager, Human Resources and Safety Compliance, the HR Generalist will provide administrative and operational support across all Human Resources functions while assisting with the day-to-day needs of the business.
The role will primarily support federally regulated operations under the Canada Labour Code, while also providing limited support to affiliated provincially or state regulated operations when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruitment activities, onboarding, orientation, and employee file management
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Assist with payroll administration through ADP, including time verification and employee inquiries
- Support company HR systems and platforms including TruckRight, CarriersEdge, and Microsoft 365
- Assist in the administration and communication of company policies and procedures
- Coordinate and support Workplace Health and Safety Committee activities
- Assist with workplace safety initiatives and compliance-related programs
- Provide administrative support related to employee relations matters
- Support operations and other departments to help ensure business needs are met efficiently
- Perform additional administrative and HR-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- Previous HR or administrative experience considered an asset
- Experience with ADP or payroll administration is considered an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Compensation & Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position
- Monday to Friday schedule (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Overtime compensation in accordance with applicable legislation and company policy
- Eligibility for wage increases and performance-based bonus opportunities based on tenure and performance
- Company benefits available after probationary period
- RRSP program eligibility after one year of employment
