About the role

Job Title: Manager, Programs

Location:  Athlete Institute – Mono, ON

Reports To:  Director, Athletics

Employment Type:  Full-Time, On-Site (evening and weekend availability required)

Compensation Range:  $45k-55k per year

The Program Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and growth of all sports programs at the facility — including leagues, camps, and clinics. This role ensures exceptional program delivery, athlete experience, and operational efficiency while driving participation and revenue growth.

Working closely with coaching, marketing, and operations teams, the Program Manager manages scheduling, staffing, and communications to maintain high standards across all programs. They will also identify and implement new opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, and community engagement that align with Athlete Institute’s mission to develop athletes and inspire excellence.

Program Planning & Operations

  • Develop, plan, and execute all youth and adult programs, including leagues, clinics, and seasonal camps
  • Coordinate program schedules, registration, and logistics in alignment with facility availability and organizational goals.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, instruction, and overall participant experience.
  • Manage consistent communications with participants, parents, and staff regarding program information, updates, and schedule changes.
  • Collect feedback, and track program performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all program activities comply with facility policies, waivers, and health and safety standards.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise coaches, referees, and support staff for all programs.
  • Ensure staff deliver consistent, high-quality experiences in line with Athlete Institute’s standards.

Program Development & Growth

  • Expand programming to additional locations outside of Orangeville with focus on systems, automation and scalability
  • Evaluate existing programs and identify opportunities for expansion or innovation.
  • Research community needs and trends to design new offerings that align with Athlete Institute’s mission.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote programs effectively.
  • Build partnerships with schools, community groups, and sports organizations to drive participation and awareness.

Customer Experience & Community Engagement

  • Manage inquiries, feedback, and conflict resolution with professionalism and care.
  • Develop strong relationships with repeat participants and foster community loyalty.

Budgeting & Administration

  • Prepare and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and achievement of financial targets.
  • Manage registration systems, participant databases, and reporting tools.
  • Coordinate with the finance team for billing, invoicing, and payment tracking.

Facility & Equipment Coordination

  • Coordinate facility usage and scheduling with operations staff to optimize space and program flow.
  • Oversee the procurement, inventory, and maintenance of equipment and facility supplies to ensure readiness and safety across programs.
  • Maintain merchandise and uniforms, ensuring all items are properly inventoried, organized, and stored.
