QA Analyst (Manual Tester) – Onsite
Location: Vancouver, BC Domain: Testing / Quality Assurance Experience: 2+ Years
Responsibilities
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to develop test plans and test cases Execute scenario-based manual testing on devices in both indoor and outdoor field environments Work onsite 3–5 days per week, traveling to multiple testing sites within a 50-mile radius Write, read, execute, and enhance test scripts in coordination with software teams Interpret, document, and report testing results; advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle Identify, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution Support field projects by setting up and verifying system components, troubleshooting issues during setup/live sessions, and maintaining process documentation Provide technical support to field operations or trial teams Apply knowledge of wireless/networking technologies, mobile devices, and QA practices to validate connected device requirements Develop functional knowledge of assigned features to effectively execute tests Lift up to 25 lbs when required Be flexible with work hours/dates depending on project needs
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience 2+ years of software QA testing experience Experience writing test plans, test cases, and issue reports Experience testing in consumer electronics lab or field environments Experience working on consumer hardware/software products
Preferred Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting skills Experience supporting software teams with setup, testing, and troubleshooting prototype devices Experience configuring, deploying, and validating software updates Experience with user trials, beta testing, or field testing Familiarity with Jenkins Knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and networking Hands-on experience testing iOS/Android devices Strong analytical and decision-making skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Strong attention to detail
Important Onsite Travel Requirement
This role requires the candidate to travel between approximately 160 client locations across Vancouver for testing activities.
The candidate will typically
Start testing at one Airbnb location Remain there for about 3 days Then move to another client location within the Vancouver area This position is fully onsite and requires regular movement between locations, so candidates must be comfortable with frequent local travel.
