Building Science Consultant

Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist writing proposals and establishing financial budgets
- Assist with project document reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.)
- Attend pre-construction meetings and document discussions
- Assist with review and report on project mock-ups
- Assist with performance of periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items
- Assist with performance of field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.)
- Assist in small project management and coordination
- Participate in continuing education
- Periodic out-of-state travel
- Perform various office-related tasks
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- General knowledge of Building Science principles or Building Envelope components is a plus
- Experience as a Building Envelope Consultant and/or Trade Expert is a plus
- Organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks on multiple projects
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong customer service commitment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Professional attitude
- Commitment to succeed
- Strong work ethic
- Valid Driver's license and access to a vehicle
Education and Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field
- Pursuing registration either as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is a plus
- Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
- Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
