About the role

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Metrics That Matter  to join our Consulting team. This role is ideal for an experienced consultant with a strong background in learning measurement, HR, or talent management who thrives in a dynamic, client-facing environment.

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead client engagements focused on learning measurement strategy and execution, delivering actionable insights through the Metrics That Matter (MTM) methodology and technology suite, including our AI-powered comment analysis tool, MLY. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead project teams, contribute to business development efforts, and bring innovation and thought leadership to Explorance’s consulting and product roadmap.

Consulting Practice Overview

The Metrics That Matter Consulting Practice partners with clients around the globe to design and deliver impactful learning measurement strategies and solutions. The team is focused on driving tangible value for clients while advancing innovative methodologies, scalable solutions, and thought leadership both internally at Explorance and externally within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Delivery

  • Influence, guide, and coach stakeholders at all levels of client organizations, including senior leaders and executive audiences.
  • Lead end-to-end client engagements, managing project plans, timelines, resources, and relationships in collaboration with clients and internal Explorance teams such as Software Implementation and Customer Success.
  • Design and deliver learning measurement strategies and consulting engagements virtually and on-site, including workshops, presentations, and executive briefings.

Measurement, Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze Metrics That Matter data using core MTM technology as well as external analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Develop and deliver clear, compelling analysis reports that highlight client successes, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design assessment instruments, support data collection, and lead insight generation using Explorance platforms and industry-standard BI tools.

Practice Development & Innovation

  • Collaborate with Sales to support pre-sales and business development efforts, including understanding client needs and scoping new consulting opportunities.
  • Contribute to the design of innovative, scalable measurement solutions that can be productized as new consulting offerings and integrated with Explorance’s core technology platforms.
  • Provide market, measurement, and analytics expertise to Product Management teams to inform new product features and platform enhancements.

Thought Leadership & Industry Presence

Support Explorance’s industry presence by contributing thought leadership in enterprise learning and development, including authoring blog posts or articles, presenting at conferences, and designing and delivering webinars and custom workshops.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience & Expertise

  • 3–5 years of experience with deep knowledge in one or more employee measurement and evaluation domains, including learning and development, talent development, onboarding, talent acquisition, employee engagement, people analytics, and/or talent management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading consulting projects and working directly with clients in a trusted advisor capacity.
  • Strong background in survey methodologies, including Likert-scale data, and learning effectiveness measurement.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels of global organizations.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, deliver on time and within budget, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse and international audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, visualize, and present data insights in ways that support client decision-making.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Learning and Development, or a related field strongly preferred.

Travel Requirements

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
