About the Role
Working as a member of the Edmonton Water team, you will support the delivery of municipal infrastructure projects and have opportunities to contribute to projects beyond your core discipline. We are looking for someone who enjoys building strong working relationships with a wide range of partners involved in infrastructure projects, and who is excited to be part of a multidisciplinary organization. At this stage in your career, you're eager to grow with a collaborative team and are motivated by technical excellence.
Your primary responsibilities would include:
- Developing Civil 3D models and drawings for watermains, sanitary sewers, storm systems, grading, roads, and stormwater management facilities.
- Preparing engineering plan sets, complex cross sections, figures, and record drawings for submission.
- Assisting with design calculations for storm and sanitary pipe networks.
- Completion of quantity take-offs and assist with preparing cost estimates.
- Consistently applying drafting standards and QA/QC procedures.
- Generating construction layout coordinates.
- Supporting Contract Administration tasks for construction projects.
- Communicating information both within and outside of the team.
- Working with mentors to develop and expand technical and professional skills.

- Recent, or upcoming, graduation from a program in Civil Engineering Technology, and/or Engineering Design Technology.
- Any relevant experience relating to municipal engineering.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with design software such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bluebeam.
- Registration with a regulatory body such as ASET.
- Construction inspection experience.
- Topographic survey and/or construction stakeout.
