Assignment:
- Part-time 0.40 FTE Interim teaching position
- Instructing in the Pre-Kindergarten Bright Futures Play Academy Program
- Nurturing beginnings: Help children take their first steps in learning and discovery in a supportive, and welcoming environment
- Small Class advantage: With intentionally small groups, you will have the time and space to build a meaningful connection with each child
- Hands on Growth: Guide social, emotional, and early academic skills though play-based and experiential learning
- Community Connection: Be a part of a close-knit school, where staff, families, and students truly know and support each other.
- Creative Freedom: Shape engaging lessons that spark curiosity and joy in young learners
- Strong Support System: Collaborate with a dedicated team that values professional growth and shared success
- Foundation Building: Play a key role in setting a positive educational journey that lasts a lifetime
- Balance and Focus: With fewer students you will spend less time on crowd management and more time fostering discovery Duties to commence September 15, 2025 and will continue for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year school year
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in Pre-Kindergarten aged children would be considered an asset
- Literacy background
- Experience in play-based education
- Ability to be flexible in assigned duties
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
- Assessment literate
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of special and individual needs
- Effective classroom management
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
