Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role completes winter operations by planning, organizing, and controlling projects; Prepare and summarizehighwayroadconditionreports,helpdispatchwintermaintenanceequipmentwhen****required.

Thispositionreports tothePatrolSupervisorandOperations managerintheSupervisor'sabsenceand****will supervisecrewincompleting theproject,ensuring safetyandtimelycompletion of tasks.

PrimaryDutiesand****Responsibilities:

  • Createandmaintainasafeandhealthy****working environment.

  • Followandcomprehendsupervisor'sinstructions, aswellasprovideandcommunicatesupervision to****the crew.

  • MonitoringWeatherandRoadConditions.

  • DispatchingandDirecting MaintenanceEquipment.Thisincludesmaking decisionsabout whereto****send snowplows, salt spreaders, and other equipment based on the severity of the weather conditions.

  • Maintainingaccuraterecordsofincidents,maintenanceactivities,androad****conditions.

  • Helptocreateandverifyaccurate WinterOperations****Records.

  • Maintaincommunicationswithpatrollersandsupervisorsofjobstatusandcurrentassignedresponsibilities.

  • Maintain and supervise a clean jobsite free of tripping hazards and unnecessary obstacles.

  • Actively participate inthePerformanceandDevelopment Review process,ensuring alignment tothe performance pillars.

  • CarryoutallworkactivitiesupholdingtheCompanyvaluesandmeetingalltheclient'soutcometargets.

  • Positivelycontributetoadiverse,inclusive,andfairworkenvironment,freefromdiscrimination,bullyingand harassment.

  • CarryoutalldutiesinlinewithCompanypoliciesand****procedures.

  • Efficientlyallocateequipmentandpersonneltoareasmostaffectedbywinter****weather.

  • **Additional duties,asrequested byOperations Manager and/orProjectManager, PatrolSupervisor,**and/or Winter Patroller.

  • AvoidslegalchallengesbycomplyingwithCanadianandProvinciallegalrequirements.

**Knowledge,Skills&**Abilities:

  • Skillintheoperationofcompanytoolsandequipment.

  • **Abilitytoperformbasic mathskills,suchas****addition,****subtraction,**multiplication,anddivision.

  • Fluent at****reading,speaking,andwritingEnglish.

  • Teamplayer andhavestronganalyticalandproblem-solving****skills.

  • Highlyorganizedanddetailsdriven.

  • Proficientcomputerskills,rangingfromdataentryandday-to-day submissions on****time.

EducationandExperience:

  • High School Diploma/ GED required.

  • ExperienceasaForeman/ CrewSupervisorwithinrelatedindustryandroadconstruction****projects.

  • Basicsupervisionexperience.

  • ValidDZdriver'slicense(preferred)andagooddrivingrecordtodrivecompany****vehicle.

Work Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Capableofworkinginafast-paced****environment.

  • Capableofworkingoutdoors inalltypesofweatherconditions.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds unassisted.

  • Ability to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: winter coats, rain gear, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.

  • PositionwillberequiredtobackfillforthePatrolSupervisor andmustbeabletoworkOTduringtheweek and on weekends if required.

  • Abilitytobeavailableasrequiredfor****emergency response.

  • **Requiredtobeavailableforemergencyresponserotationsasneedfor****overtime,****evenings,****weekends,**and holidays.
